As a natural fibre, wool rugs will shed — this is completely normal and part of how they settle into your home. Shedding will reduce over time with regular care. To minimise shedding, avoid vacuums with beater bars or strong suction, use a gentle suction vacuum only, and trim (rather than pull) any loose fibres.
We take care to ensure sizing is as accurate as possible, however slight variations may occur (up to ±5%, or up to ±10% for handmade and folded collections). As these rugs are made from natural fibres, subtle variations in colour and texture may be present — these are part of the rug’s character, not defects.
For care, attend to spills immediately by blotting (not rubbing) with a clean, dry white cloth or paper towel. For tougher spills, use a mild detergent with lukewarm water or seek professional cleaning advice. Professional cleaning is recommended every 6–12 months, along with rotating your rug to ensure even wear.
